In her freshman year, Rosalind organized the start of a campus Shakespeare Club because she realized there was not a student outlet to unite the literary and theatrical aspects of Shakespeare in one place. She wants the Shakespeare Club to be a forum for discussion and friendship between English students, performing arts students, and anyone else who loves The Bard. Rebecca and others will apply for official Recognized Student Organization status in Fall 2018. In addition to getting the club on its feet, Rebecca also published a one-act play in the Spring 2018 semester. She worked with her publisher the entire academic year: “The experience was an exciting, challenging revision process I learned an immense amount from.” The play, Between Mars and Me, is available now on youthplays.com for purchasing and performance. Rosalind’s future plans involve further establishing and growing the Shakespeare Club on campus and continuing to grow as a writer.
